Since inception in 2018, we have grown rapidly and seen strong commercial success, growing market share from 40 – 56% (as at March 2020). More broadly than savings, we operate a national, diverse supply chain, where resilience is paramount a range of clinical services from driving product innovation to supporting patient and clinical outcomes and we have an ambitious and critical role to play in delivering the NHS net zero commitment in 2045 as well as social value ambitions. We are well progressed on our journey to deliver £2.4bn in savings by providing a standardised range of quality assured clinical products that meet the needs of the NHS across all areas. The core aim of SCCL is to leverage the scale of the NHS to drive savings in the procurement and use of medical and non-medical products and allow the Trusts to reallocate money to frontline care and ultimately the patient. This role will give you an opportunity to support our NHS at this most critical point.
At the same time the NHS is evolving from the traditional payer and provider model to more of an Integrated Care System that includes Social Care. The NHS has played a hugely critical part over the last 12 months as the nation has been struggling with the effect of a pandemic unseen by our generation.
